AeroBarrierUK is a leading provider of innovative airtightness technology solutions designed to enhance energy efficiency and indoor air quality in residential and commercial buildings. Our goal is to deliver superior comfort and energy savings while promoting sustainability.
We are now looking for a motivated Site Technician to join an ambitious team. The role involves the installation of our multi award winning air sealing system, as well as the basic maintenance of AeroBarrier equipment, on construction sites across the UK. Whilst prior experience in construction is helpful, we are open to candidates with a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to high-quality service. This position requires travel and overnight stays away from home up to three nights a week, working on various scales of construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation:
- Assist in the preparation and installation of AeroBarrier systems in residential and commercial buildings following company guidelines.
- Help with setting up equipment and preparing construction sites.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic inspections of equipment.
- Learn to identify and resolve common issues with AeroBarrier systems under supervision.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain system basics and address any questions.
- Provide courteous and professional service to ensure client satisfaction.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while on job sites.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
- Travel:
- Opportunity to travel to various sites around the UK, which may require working away from home up to three nights a week.
- Four operational days per week, with one day (typically Friday) for maintenance and preparation at HQ.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in construction, 2 years + beneficial but not required.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and technologies.
- Air testing or air tightness products installation (membranes and tapes)
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of construction principles and materials.
- Ability to follow technical instructions.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Certifications:
- GCSE in maths
- Full UK driving license
- CSCS card
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, manual handling.
- Comfortable working in various construction environments and weather conditions.
